A second year University Group Project required students to form a lean business plan around a suitable product.
The selected product was customisable mobile phone cases. These would initially be sold on campus using university resources until enough capital had been raised to invest into purchasing equipment, reducing the cost per unit.
A market and value analysis was undertaken in addition to the proposed business plan. A three phase business strategy using a lean approach enabled a low initial setup cost of less than £200. A return on this investment was realised within 78 days, allowing progression to phase two with reinvestment of profits. Phase two is forecast to achieve an annual net profit of £2128. Phase three enables expansion of the business to a national company.
The promotional product video below shows the proposed product for Raptor Cases, this was used as part of a presentation for the business plan.
